How does it work?
For safety concerns, we verify all our companions before they can interact with seniors. It’s a bit of a longer process, but it ensures a safe and trustworthy environment.

Update your work availability to make sure that you get booked by a senior at a time that suits you.
Set up your schedule

Share the activities you prefer to engage in with seniors (playing games, going for walks, arts and crafts, talking)

You will get an email confirmation when your profile will be approved

Foster open communication and build a trusting relationship by actively listening to seniors’ stories and preferences
Encourage social activities that enhance seniors’ well-being
Accompany seniors on outings that spark joy

Don’t administer medications or offer medical advice

if there are concerns regarding health or medication, companions should gently remind the seniors to consult their healthcare provider
Tips for using AltO to the fullest
Set your availability
Let your personality shine! Write a summary that highlights your interests and what you love to do.
Update your schedule
When you will set your availability, think to leave 1 hour between 2 meetings to make sure to close the meeting properly and to give you enough time that you can travel from one senior to the next one. Make sure to update your work availability as soon as you have a change to make sure that you get booked by a senior at a time that does suits you.

Your behavior & rating
Approach each engagement with kindness, respect, and empathy. Seniors will rate their experiences with you, and regular quality control checks will be conducted to ensure our high standards are met.
